DRC School Project and Community Centre
is an
effort
to assist
the needs of a
growing community in the
Swakopmund

The DRC is a rapidly
growing resettlement area on the eastern outskirts of Swakopmund.
As
a municipal area the DRC lacks many services such as
supplementary education programmes, health education etc. The community is

The structure that currently serves as
the DRC School Project Centre was donated by
Namib Film. The structure is 126mē
and consists of three rooms.
The centre will also house a playground and a craft centre for community
members. The centre is on the main road in the Democratic Resettlement
Community (DRC) and therefore easily accessible to
all members of the community.
The centre is available to everyone.

studied at
the University of
Stellenbosch. He has
extensive experience in teaching and has worked with
rural
communities while doing field
work for Save the Rhino Trust.
